PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), as a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) continues to be committed to realizing ecosystem integration and logistics chain efficiency in the country.
In 2023, SPSL has demonstrated success in optimizing halal logistics and cold storage services in Jakarta, resulting in an increase in utilization of up to 300 percent.
“We continue to make various improvements in port services, especially in the logistics cluster and hinterland development to support efforts to reduce national logistics costs. “Currently, we continue to carry out standardization and systemization, especially in the Cargo Consolidation and Distribution Center (CCDC) 100 field in Makassar and the Banda CDC Warehouse in Jakarta,” said SPSL Main Director Joko Noerhudha in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
He said that in terms of financial performance, in the first semester of 2023, the company managed to record an increase in operating profit of 20 percent in 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
“This year, we are focusing on standardizing operational services, optimizing assets, increasing employee capacity and implementing digitalization to support increased performance and capacity so that we can gradually enter the global logistics ecosystem,” said Noerhudha.
After the Pelindo merger two years ago, SPSL has also integrated the hinterland into the port through collaboration with industry players to form a logistics ecosystem.
One of them is through multimodal logistics transportation services in the North Sumatra region, via the Sei Mangkei-Belawan, Sei Mangkei-Kuala Tanjung, and Kuala Tanjung-Belawan routes.
Noerhudha explained that one of the milestones that the company has achieved is the successful construction and operation of the 34.76 kilometer (km) Cibitung Cilincing Toll Road (JTCC), which will be fully operational on April 1, 2023.
The operation of JTCC supports logistics effectiveness and improves connectivity of Tanjung Priok Port with hinterland areas or industrial areas in east Jakarta.
Apart from that, SPSL also contributed to accelerating the development of the Kuala Tanjung industrial area in North Sumatra. “We are proactively marketing to capture investment and land commercialization opportunities by exploring several potential partners,” he said.
Apart from that, regional development and commercialization efforts are also being carried out in the Kijing Terminal supporting area, Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan. This area continues to show positive growth with the relocation of national roads, development of main roads, and construction of regional supporting facilities.
“SPSL will continue its transformation in a continuous and sustainable manner, in line with the 2024-2034 BUMN blueprint. “This effort is carried out by strengthening human resource (HR) development and implementing good corporate governance (GCG) which is in line with the BUMN transformation vision,” said Noerhudha.
